Day 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL

Arrival Saigon, our guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel to check-in. Free time for your rest after long flight. On the way to hotel, drive through the city centre along the French built tree-lined boulevards, public gardens, old ochre coloured buildings and modern sky scrapers to the Unification Palace, nearby War Museum, the well preserved and imposing Central Post Office; Notre Dame Cathedral and City Hall, a magnificent edifice of French architecture.

DAY 2: HALF DAY CU CHI TUNNELS & CHINA TOWN
Breakfast, Lunch

We drive north-west for 60km, passing through the suburbs and then the beautiful green or golden paddy fields to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels-the underground bases of our freedom fighters during the war and see for yourself the life-style and hardship of these valiant fighters. Taste the steamed manioc-compressed rice with sesame and salt; see the torture gears and traps and crawl through a tunnel.

After a nostalgic and pleasant experience, we head return to Saigon for lunch and then drive to good old China Town (Cho Lon) – a district where most Vietnamese-Chinese live and do businesses.  Visits include Thien Hau Temple and Binh Tay wholesale market for a good view of delicacies and foodstuff craved by the Chinese and Vietnamese populace.

Day 3: FULL DAY MEKONG CAI BE
Breakfast, Lunch

Enjoy a relaxing day at the Mekong Delta –Vietnam’s fruit and rice bowl. A pleasant drive through the lush countryside takes you to the farming township of Cai Be (2-hour drive).

Upon arrival at Cai Be, board a boat for a cruise on the Tien River, a tributary of the mighty Mekong River to visit local gardens and houses, fruit orchards and local cottage industries such as coconut candies, rice poppies, honey collection, rice paper, etc. Next we visit an ancient house where we would have a local lunch. After lunch continue our sampan ride to quieter surroundings passing peaceful farmers’ homes, paddy fields and duck farms.

Day 4: SAIGON – DANANG (Flight)
Breakfast

This morning leisure for your activities before the flight to Danang.

Arrival Danang, our guide will pick up you and take you to the old town Hoi An - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 5: FULL DAY HOI AN TOUR
Breakfast, Lunch

Walk through the Ancient Town of Hoi An built by traders from Asia in the 17/18thC that is well preserved. Along the way, visit a Chinese temple that serves the Chinese traders, a covered bridge built in Japanese architecture and the old residences and shop houses that sells many of our handy crafts –silk lanterns, fans and dresses, paper lanterns and various souvenir items. Don’t forget to visit the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tamky House and the vibrant market

Ride a bicycle to a local farm in Tra Que village, take a trip around the vegetable garden and join the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing such as: raking the ground, sowing, watering greens, pricking greens and many more gardening activities.  Learn how to prepare lunch with local family including “Tam Huu” spring roll, Banh Xeo or traditional local pancake of the Central.  Light snack with your achievement.

DAY 6: DANANG – HANOI (Flight)

This morning is leisure for your own activities before our coach transfer you back to Danang for your flight to Hanoi.

On arrival Hanoi, our guide will pick up you to your hotel to check in. Leisure in the evening for your own explores the capital by nights.

DAY 7: HALF DAY HANOI CITY TOUR
Breakfast

Enjoy a familiarization tour of the Capital City –the political centre of government, and centre for culture, art and education. A short drive through the city brings you to the interesting “House of Ho Chi Minh”. From here we continue our tour to the mysterious One pillar Pagoda (rebuilt) and the imposing Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. We then proceed to Hoan Kiem Lake to walk across the Ancient Red wooden Bridge to the Ngoc Son Temple. ). To end the day, we enjoy a leisurely 30 minutes cyclo ride around the busy Old Quarters of Hanoi (the ride is restricted to some parts of the old quarters).

DAY 8: HANOI – HALONG BAY
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This morning you will start your trip east to Halong Bay. Enroute you will pass fields of busy workers farming their rice using traditional methods of cultivation. The bay has assumed an important position in Vietnamese legend for many centuries and continues to capture the imagination of visitors. On arrival transfer to the port and board your boat for the cruise out to the Bay, enjoying fresh seafood lunch on board along the way. Considered Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder, Halong Bay boasts over 3,000 islands that rise out of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment. You will visit some of the beautiful sites around the bay and enjoy sunbath on the sundeck for a panoramic view. Evening, a tasty seafood dinner onboard will be served before retiring to bed.

DAY 9: HALONG BAY – HANOI – SIEM REAP
Breakfast, Lunch

Begin your day with Tai Chi exercises on the Sundeck. Rise early to make the most of Halong Bay’s stunning scenery and continue your exploration and discover what makes this area so unique. Checkout your luggage and then have brunch on board while sailing to the pier. Arrive at the pier and we board our coach back to Hanoi, then transfer to airport for your flight to Siem Reap.

DAY 10: FULL DAY ANGKOR DISCOVERY
Breakfast

After an early breakfast visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Surrounded by walls with a height of 8m and length of 12km, the city was the last capital of the Khmer Empire. Five huge gates with huge stone faces provide access. Angkor Thom holds many important monuments which you will visit including the Bayon Temple located in the exact centre, the Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King.

Angkor Wat is unlike other temples in that it is orientated towards the west, typically the direction of death. A magnificent moat surrounds the temple on all sides with a long causeway providing access. Take your time to look at some of the more than 3,000 Apsara or ‘heavenly maidens’ carvings, all of which are different. The late afternoon light provides the best opportunity to observe and photograph the Apsaras.

Enjoy sunset at Angkor Wat with a cold coconut juice to cool down after your exciting exploration.

DAY 11: FULL DAY TONLE SAP LAKE & TA PHOM TEMPLE
Breakfast, Lunch

In the morning travel to Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. A short instruction will be provided on kayaking before you paddle off. The guide will lead the way as you kayak amongst the Kampong Khleang village. This is a fascinating area to explore as only a small number of tourists make it out to this area. The houses are mostly built on stilts, up to 8m in height. In the dry season it is possible to drive in areas that 9 months of the year are under water.

Take a break at a local house where you will enjoy a packed lunch on the verandah of the stilted house. It is another opportunity to see the daily life of the villagers who adapt to the changing water levels of the Tonle Sap.

In the afternoon, take a remork (similar to the Thai tuk tuk) to Ta Prohm, a unique temple that has been left to nature with trees and vines growing amongst the structures. This is one of the most photogenic temples in the Angkor area and recently gained fame as the ‘Tomb Raider’ temple after featuring in the Angelina Jolie movie. Enjoy walking along the sandy paths and under huge banyan trees as you explore this 12th century temple.

DAY 12: SIEM REAP - PNHOM PENH (flight)
Breakfast

Free at the morning for your own activities then take flight to Phnom Penh.

Upon arrival, our guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel to check in.

Day 13: FULL DAY PHNOM PENH TOUR
Breakfast

This morning, we visit to the Royal Palace. Nearside the Royal Palace is Silver Pagoda (The Emerald Buddha temple), display plenty of Buddha Statues that were decorated and made by diamond, emerald, gold and silver. Travelers will proceed to visit Independence Monument which was constructed in 1954 after Cambodian took their country back from French colony, continuing visit to National Museum. The city of Phnom Penh is almost completely flat, except for a small hilltop known as Wat Phnom. This is the founding place of the city and a popular spot for Cambodians to come and pray for good luck. Stop to visit the pagoda.

In the afternoon continues to visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (in 1975 Toul Sleng was a high school, when Khmer Rouge came to power it was converted into the S-21 prison and interrogation facility) after then transfer to visit Choeung Ek Memorial (the Killing fields, 16 km from southwest of Phnom Penh is the place that Khmer Rouge killed the Cambodia’s people over million people).

Day 14:DEPARTURE DAY PHNOM PENH – HO CHI MINH
